I thought that this year would be the first Liechtenstein would compete now that they have their own television station, but it appears they will not be competing.

So far nine entries are finalised:

Albania will be represented by Rona Nishlui, singing "Suus"
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVvDxR8k5LY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVvDxR8k5LY</a>

Switzerland's choice is Sinplus, singing "Ubreakable"
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3vUIoqwHTM" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3vUIoqwHTM</a>

Ivi Adamou and "La La Love" is Cyprus' entry
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSrS-2cunM4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSrS-2cunM4</a>

Soluna Samay and "Should've Known Better" are representing Denmark
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSpfDj9uUJc" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSpfDj9uUJc</a>

Izabo, with "Time" are representing Israel (the song has not been released yet)

Rambo Amadeus, with "Euro Neuro" are singing for Montenegro (I can't find a link to the song, if there is one available yet)

Kurt Calleja, and "This Is The Night", is Malta's choice
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANU0K9oIXhI" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANU0K9oIXhI</a>

Kaliopi, and "Black And White" are representing Macedonia (I can't find a link for this song if it has been released)

Anggun, with "Echo (You And I)", is singing for France
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOor4tVVJcM" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOor4tVVJcM</a>

All of the other participants have yet to finalise their entry, with some having already selected an act yet no song, and some currently electing a representative.

Belgium have selected their act - Iris (https://www.facebook.com/airisofficial), but have not yet revealed what she will be singing.

Serbia's act is Željko Joksimović, who represented Serbia & Montenegro in 2004, coming second. (http://www.zeljkojoksimovic.com/) No song choice has been released yet.

MayaSar (real name Maja Sarihodžić) will represent Bosnia & Herzegovina. (http://www.eurovision.tv/page/news?id=42863&_t=maya_sar_to_represent_bosnia_and_herzegovina_in_baku)

Nina Badrić is Croatia's representative. (http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/18069)

Can Bonomo is Turkey's choice. (http://www.medyatava.com/haber.asp?id=88787)

Pastora Soler is representing Spain. (http://www.rtve.es/television/20111221/pastora-soler-representara-espana-eurovision-2012-baku/483833.shtml)

Finland, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Ireland, Moldova, Russia, San Marino, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Portugal, Ukraine, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy and the UK have yet to confirm any details of their entries. I expect most of them will be in the process of their selection, as I know that the Irish public are voting for their choice (one of the possibilities being Jedward :vio)

France and Cyprus' songs are my favourites of the ones that have been released, which will probably mean they won't do very well, as the one I liked the most last year was Norway, and they didn't even reach the final.  :D ::)

My likes so far (UPDATED):

1. Cyprus (Bitch please! I freakin' love Cyprus buddy! ;D)
2. France (I hope this song gets a good place. I mean, this women has an AMAZING voice and the lyrics of the song are really good)
3. Denmark (I freakin' like this song!)
4. Iceland (I really like that entry, wanted Blar Opal to win, but that couple ain't a bad choice. ICELAND PLEAAASEEE DO NOT TRANSLATE THIS SONG TO ENGLISH, IT'LL FAIL IN THAT LANGUAGE, KEEP IT IN ICELANDIC!!!!!!!!!!)
5. Norway (Too Eric Saade-like, the two guys could be brothers, but it's a good and catchy song anyways)
6. Hungary (Oh well...okay)
7. Switzerland (Just plain and mad boring)
8. Albania (Haven't heard it entirely, but the thing I got the chance to hear didn't like it at all)
9. Malta (That song SUCKS baaaadly :mad :'( :bang)

I know it is a weird thing to say, but Jedwards song is actually pretty good. However we have to see what they'll be like LIVE  ::)
TONIGHT, Norway, Hungary & Iceland will pick their song. All will be available to watch on the official Eurovision site (http://www.eurovision.tv/esctv)

Norway's NF (Melodi Grand Prix) will start at 6:55pm GMT
Hungary's NF (A Dal) will start at 7:15pm GMT
Iceland's NF (Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins) will start at 8:30pm GMT

Sweden & Lithuania also have semis tonight.

I have to agree with BBDR16, Cyprus is so far one of the best songs and Malta probably has the worst.

BB & Eurovision are my two favorite shows  ;D

First act in MGP (Norway's selection) is Tooji. Hi song is called 'Stay'. It is VERY cheesy, and he is getting huge cheers from the crowd.

In Norway last night, Tooji won with 155,480 votes. The Song is called 'Stay'.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdHnenxPPnc" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdHnenxPPnc</a>

In Iceland, Gréta & Jónsi won with the song 'Mundu eftir mér' meaning 'Remember Me' in English.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mepztXfP9_c" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mepztXfP9_c</a>

In Hungary, Compact Disco won with 'Sound Of Our Hearts'.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwqrTPXjc1w" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwqrTPXjc1w</a>

I really do like all three, Tooji's song reminds me of Starlight by Superman Lovers, The Icelandic song should stay in Icelandic and Compact Disco's song has to be one of the most impressive Hungarian entries. Hungary have come back with some great entries  ;D

Norway's choice was definitely not my favourite from the Melodi Gran Prix. "You And I" by Minnie-Oh was by far my favourite of the bunch and I'm sad it didn't win. It didn't even make the final. :-\

BREAKING NEWS

It has been announced that ARMENIA has officially withdrawn from this year's contest. The public broadcaster, ARD, has cited that security meassures are involved with their decission since they were not able to grant more security for the Armenian delegation in the contest since both Armenia and Azerbaijan have awful political relations and the participation of an Armenian reperesentant in the Contest may be too risky for those involved. (What I just said there is what it has been commented and could be the possible answer to the country's withdrawal).

But here's what has been officially published on the official Eurovision website.

I think this song is very overrated. I like it and I think it's a good song but I still think there are lot of song better than the sweddish song. I can't understand the success of ''Euphoria''.

What is the format of Eurovision?
It's a european song contest. This format consists in all european countries participate to fight for the best song in Europe. There are 6 countries that automatically classify for the final: Germany, Italy, France, UK, Spain and the previous country winner.

The rest of participants are randomly splitted in two groups: Semifinal 1 and Semifinal 2 in which around 10 countries from each semifinal classify for the final.

The system vote consists in two votes: 50% is the jury vote and 50% is public vote. After the total votes are counted, each country gives 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points to any country. The country with most points finally wins the contest.

Yesterday was the Semifinal 1, tomorrow will be the Semifinal 2 and Saturday 26 will be the final.

My reactions to the finalists from Semi 1: I'm fine with most of them and it was predictable!!!
To the ones from Semi 2: MALTA SUCKS BAAAAADLY!  :mad  :mad; Lithuania is painful  :zzz; FYR Macedonia YAAAAAAY!  ;D  ;D AFTER FOUR YEARS OUT OF THE FINAL YAAAAAAY!!!; Ukraine, Serbia, Sweden and Norway those were already in for me; Turkey, you shouldn't be on Saturday's show because you also suck  :zzz. Estonia is just fine. I'll trade Malta with The Netherlands and Lithuania with Slovenia.

SPAIN TO THE WIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VAMOS ESPAÑAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! #TodosConPastora  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
