BB-Unzensiert(a site with contacts to Reality TV formats) has published an article stating that a non celebrity Big Brother season will be back in Germany.
http://www.bb-unzensiert.de/#!a=2014

They're stating that it will be shown at the small channel Sixx, which belongs to the Pro7/Sat1 group(broadcasts Celebrity Big Brother in Germany), and that the new season could start as early as later this year.

And it is apparently scheduled to start right after a new season of Promi Big Brother which will bring Newtopia under even more pressure than it already has.

dwdl.de is reporting it as well and Boris Brandt(Producer of most german BB editions) has said that he's aware of a new Big Brother edition as well.

BTW: Newtopia's done anyways. It's a huge joke, they're cutting everything like crazy and right now the participants aren't even nominating even though their contract states otherwise.  ::)
I think it will be done soon as it crashed like Utopia US and was produced the same way.

Utopia is another Endemol show, quite new right? Started in Holland as the never ending show right?

Utopia/Newtopia is a Talpa show. Endemol Germany nowadays is completely independent from anything John de Mol does.

Hasn't it ended yet.   Must be doing quite well then as usually these "never ending" shows are lucky to make it beyond a year.

Seems like a sensible plan if they're using a secondary channel for the regular series to do it off the back of the main series.

Some more details: It has a planned duration of 3 months. Jochen Bendel will be the host. You can apply since today.

Oh, well, and an eye:

Not sure on the eye, but the original font still looks great.  What does the subtitle mean?

No subtitle actually, simply means "you're going to apply"

English (in German it's a rhyme):

APPLICATION

Big Brother comes to SIXX!

You will cry. You will laugh.

You will not dare to. You will do it anyway.

You will revel. You will panic.

You will hate it. You will love it.

And you will apply!

I like the application and am curious how this will work out. the smaller channels in germany are certainly much better in producing new and interesting shows. lets see what they will do with BB and if they get an interesting cast (which might be the biggest issue). I think it could go any way -  total flop, irrelevant or really great.

During the " Big Brother " time definitely [channel becomes more male influenced], but not necessarily in general. Looking forward to this - hopefully they do their own thing rather than going down the disastrous route many other countries have done.

What we really need is a country to bring something new to the Big Brother table - that is being optimistic I know but if anyone can it's probably Germany.   Indeed I think being on a lesser channel and probably with a smaller budget could actually help producers bring out their creativity.

Is that for live feed? whilst the recap/highlight shows are on another channel.

Hopefully justin.tv doesn't let me down and I can watch this.

It is for the live feed of both Promi and regular Big Brother.
