there have been different twists with the "other" house in the mix since a long time.

-In Season 3 the first two evictees  were fake evicted into another zone called "the dump", it was similiar to the Bedsit twist from BB UK 5 only they couldn't spy the HMs. the two lived there for a week and remained nominated, the public chose one to return to the main house and the other one was evicted for good.
-In Season 4 the "Revolution" started with only male HMs living in the main house for the first week. The girls moved into a secret room where they spied the males (I have no clue about the size or if it was a proper seperate house) and both genders had seperate rounds of nominations first. When they were merged it was a single household from week 3 on.
-In Season 5 (The Allstars Season) they used the same twist as on BB Belgium 4: In the first half of the game ALL of the evictees moved into another secret house and only in the last third (Day 77/91) three evictees re-entered the real house).
-In Season 6 ("Amplfied") a record-breaking 26 HMs moved in the "head house" but in week 2 the "Tails house" was opened where half of the household moved into. They had seperate nominations / evictions until they were again merged on Day 58 (with 16 HMs at that time) and from now on there were only combined nominations / evictions. I have no clue about the interaction between the two houses during the divide.
-A new record was set in Season 7 ("StarGame") where 35 HMs entered on launch night. 28 regular HMs entered the "Downville" house while 7 celebrity HMs were placed into the "Upville" house. First nominations only occured for the "Downville" house. After surviving an eviction, the remaining housemate(s) enter the "Upville" house. On Day 56 the Downville" house was closed and all remaining housemates will live in the "Upville" house.

Thanks Graham.  Didn't realise they had 35 HMs last year (and I thought 28 was a bit much!) and I guess they haven't gone down the obvious route yet of just splitting them 50/50 from launch night.   The United and Divided thing suggests they might do that, but I really do think with so many HMs they should start off with them playing in pairs - far easier IMO for the audience to connect with 14 couples than 28 individuals.

I definitely think they're going to split the 28 housemates in half between the Rubies and Diamonds houses during the launch show judging by the shows promo advert. Its the only thing they haven't done yet.

The first twist of the evening was for the 14 female Housemates. The ladies were given a chance to determine which of the two Houses they would be moving into according to the male Housemate that they pick. But the catch was that they could not see the guys’ faces they had to pick the smile that they like the most out of the smiles of the 14 male Housemates that were displayed on screen on stage.

After each female Housemate had picked the smile that she was most drawn to, the guy who the smile belongs to came out onto the stage carrying a yellow or red cloth that signified whether they would be headed to Rubies or Diamonds House. Although the Housemates walked into the Houses as pairs they will be competing as individuals and will spend the 91 days vying for each other's affections for the USD 300 000 prize.

Here is how the Housemates have been divided:

Rubies: Pokello, LK4, Selly, Bassey, Beverly, Sulu, Cleo, Oneal, Maria, Melvin, Natasha, Bigeusas, Koketso and Hakeem
Diamonds: Dellish, Angelo, Fatima, Nando, Huddah, Bimp, Motamma, Neyll, Feza, Elikem, Betty, Bolt, Annabel and Denzel

They opened up the jacuzzi a few minutes ago and Angelo from South Africa wasted no time time jumping in. He seems full of himself and trying to show off for the ladies. Some housemates aren't impressed. A contender for tomorrow's nomination I think.

Some heavy flirting going on with Angelo and Betty last night. Him more into it than she was.
O'Neal and Sulu got a bit tipsy and instead of talking casual rubbish, they started deep conversations. I don't know what about but it was boring and they kept going on and on. Sulu seems to be quite opinionated and outspoken and likes the sound of his own voice. This could be a bad or good thing at this stage of the game.

Nominations have started now...

Rating of Female HM's so far:

1. Selly - A lot of fun, sweet girl :)
2. Cleo - Cool, sassy, my kind of girl O0
3. Koketzo - Seems like a very classy woman, didn't mention the words/phrases "crazy" "diva" or "do anything to win, so I like her :D
4. Maria - Nice girl, reminds me of Hira form BB10.
5. Fatima - Sounds like a nice, normal woman :)
6. Huddah - Sounds quite principled, hopefully doesn't turn out to be a bitch. She sounds like a strong willed woman :)

7. Betty - Not a lot to say other than she looks like MIA.
8. Dellish - Not sure yet, could go either way. She certainly is sexy :)
9. Natasha - She didn't blow me away, but we'll see what happens.

10. Motamma - She comes across quite false to me, something doesn't sit right with me.
11. Beverly - Seems quite bitchy, so Wharram will love her!
12. Feza - Doesn't particularly seem interesting.
13. Annabel - Didn't impress me.
14. Pokello - Seems a bit humourless...

Rating of Male HM's so far:

1. Denzel - Not too up himself or masculine like the other male HM's, the only non meathead too.
2. Bassey - A bit of a himbo, reminds me of me in a way :)
3. Bolt - Very charming. He seems drunk on the launch.
4. Angelo - I respect him for saying he'll be himself... let's just hope he isn't actually a bad person.
5. Hakeem - :sex
6. Bimp - Sounds like a reasonable nice guy. Quite smooth :)

7. Oneal - Has more potential than Nando.
8. Elikem - Damn sexy <3
9. Neyll - OK, not really noticeable though.
10. Biguesas.
11. Nando - Meh.

12. Sulu - reminds me of a less attractive Anton from BB12 UK.
13. LK4 - A bit arrogant, although I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was maybe encouraged to behave like that by production.
14. Melvin - Referring to oneself in 3rd person ain't cool.

Someone help me with the nominations and daily show shows  I can't find anything lol

I have not a favorite housemate right now, obviously is not going to be a male, I didn't even know who is who from them except for Angelo.

But the females that caused me a good impression were Motamma, Selly, Annabel, Fatima, Natasha, while Cleo really give me bad vibes, I don't think I'm going to like her.

Only 2 housemates from the Ruby House were up for nomination (I don't know why) and Beverly decided to save Bassey and put Natasha on his place

In the Diamond House, Feza decided to save Elikem and put Betty on his place

So: BETTY (from Ethiopia), DENZELL (from Uganda), HUDDAH (from Kenya), NATASHA (from Malawi) and SELLY (from Ghana) are up for eviction this week. The vote is to save

Every Friday, both houses will compete against each other in various challenegs in the Airtel Showdown arena. Which ever house wins, that HoH will have the power to decide whether or not they want to swap 2 of their own housemates with 2 of the other house's.

Diamonds won today and Feza decided to swap Denzel and Neyll (from Diamonds) for Hakeem and Melvin (Ruby)

The Ruby housemates aren't too happy that they lost two of the guys that 'lifted the spirit of the house'. While on the other hand, the Diamonds house couldn't be happier getting rid of Denzel whom they find 'annoying' and 'weird'.

The dynamics in both houses have been shaken up and the game is finally starting. This season is already way better than the trainwreck that was Stargame.
