At least this year we know the ranking will be quite different since the Swedish song is such shit and lets not even talk about that thing they gave to one of the best australian voice...

Anyway this is the last version of Amir's song representing FRANCE.

This is the final version of the entry of Israel "Made of stars". This version is totally different from the first one…But the people of Israel just don’t like it no matter the version! Personally I like it, but lately I started to like more "Somebody out there" and I am very curious how Hovi Star would sing it.

Bulgaria will be officially represented by "If love was a crime" by Poli Genova but the song and the video will have premiere on 21 March, 2016.

I actually like the entry Sweden chose. Though my favorite was and is Ace Wilder's entry.
Lost a planet Master Obi Wan has. How embarrassing.

Just out of curiosity. What do you think of the representative of Finland? I personally like the song, but in my opinion it's not a winner.

So...in your opinion...is Sandhja a flop, a hit or something in between?

Something in between, it is good but becomes boring after hearing for some time.

I like it but it's something in between, in my top she is 14th but I hope she doesn't get a good place to not make shadow for Barei's song as both songs are the same style.

BULGARIA
Poli Genova - "If love was a crime"
http://youtu.be/tsp7el-tVDo

I LOVE THIS, already entered to my Top 10 <333

I think that the success of this song is because it’s not composed from bulgarians, as I know so far it was from swedish composer. I also like it and I think that it is the best Bulgarian presentation ever on Eurovision, the other songs were just…weak is the softest word.  ::) But the irony was that the biggest Bulgarian absurd on Eurovision, the song "Water" finished on 5th place 2007. I can’t with it…  ;D
I also like the video of "If love was a crime" despite that when I look on it I wonder where is the focus in the song – Eurovision or they made it for commercial of the 5th season of the best Bulgarian crime tv series – "Undercover". As I see in the video the story is that Poli is a fan who is in love with the main actor from "Undercover", she goes to the premiere and make a photos of him on the red carpet. Then he goes on her concert…hah…It’s hard to believe that this married man will have something with his fan, because he is so religious that he kissed his wife for the first time on the wedding. But this video is imaginary of course, no matter that they play themselves. ;D The series "Undercover" are my favorite Bulgarian TV series by the way. And I had a crush on the actor once as Poli has now…  :Ang

I really love that song!! And I hope Bulgaria can make it through the final this year. It's my top10 or top11 and finally Bulgaria deserves a spot in the final and a good place. Moreover in my opinion 2011 Poli's song was really good as well and it deserved a place in the final :D

I do like the Bulgarian song as well! But part of it is a bit too generic for me, just like the Maltese song. My personal favorite this year is the Croatian song and i really hope they win, they've never won and haven't even qualified since 2009...

It's actually such a shame, Croatia haven't won. And there goes the theory, that neigbhouring countries choose the winner. Either that, or the Croatians are really hated in their neighbourhood.

I know it doesn't belong in this thread. But for the lack of a better one...you all know about Roger Cicero dying? At the age of 45 of heart-attack. He represented Germany in Helsinki.

May his soul rest in peace.

Some news from Portugal:

For once, RTP (the public channel) annouced they wouldn't broadcast Eurovision this year due to have high costs and they already have the Euro 2016, the Olympics and the Champions League. What I never understood is how much high is to transmit a contest with 3 shows while football has 2186426523456234 games to be broadcast. After seeing this, the EBU was able to assure RTP that the costs will be lower so they decided finally to broadcast it (THANK GOD).
Also, they say they're planning a comeback for 2017 with a refreshed national final Festival da Canção (hope it doesn't turnout the same shit as they would also do this when withdrawing in 2013).

I can't believe they can't even broadcast at least the Grand Final. For example, if TVE withdrew from the contest the final would be broadcasted as it is always one of the shows most watched in Spain, although the semifinals are broadcasted in a very small channel and people here don't even notice they exist haha.

And I really looking forward to see Portugal in the contest again. I think it's a country with such a good potential but in the few recent years it hasn't been exploted so much and for once Portugal deserves a place in the final.

ROMANIA was officially expelled on April 22, 2016 from the Eurovision Song Contest and the EBU altogether as they've been in debt with the EBU for almost 10 years, the debt estimated in 16 million euro has been attempted to be worked from part of the EBU and after years of sending letters and communicating with Romanian broadcaster TVR, a deal could not be reached in time and the deadline set for today, 22 April 2016, was not fulfilled by the Romanian network as they are so broke they couldn't afford to make an inital payment of the debt.

Social media has been pouring positive and comforting messages to 2016 entrant Ovidiu Anton, from both ESC 2016 colleages such as Sergey Lazarev, Barei, Amir and others. Unfortunately, after this decision was made, his trip to Stockholm has now come to an bittersweet end.
:) Live happy every day!!! <3

Hovi Star (Israel) faced homophobia during his visit in Russia. It seems to become a big scandal because the police is involved...Isn't the russian entry also gay by the way? ::)
