Why does bbcan always evict someone in the second episode? It's so rushed and there's no real reason to feel one way or the other about the outcome because we don't know anyone,

I've never understood why BBCan and BBUSA don't just do a live launch with the feeds starting straight after,
I mean, this series has 7 days that we're never going to see anything about

Not sure about the feeds, but who really cares that they do the first eviction on episode two? It's the first boot that we're missing out on, that person is never remembered.

I'm with wave, it's extremely annoying how the first week here just passes by in 1 day and we don't really get to know a little about the first boot. But that's just me

We usually do get to know the first boot and what led to their demise. For instance, Kat tried to start a female's alliance, it didn't work. Annick couldn't fit in with her housemates due to her love revolution thing. Risha was "the old lady" and was very anxious about being the first evicted, and didn't really fit in. Paige is really the only one we didn't get to know very well, and she was basically the pawn that sat there and did nothing. The only thing we miss out on is people who aren't actually playing the game, and this year, we didn't really get that as much.

Also, I do like Arisa as the host; Julie gets my respect because of the personal crap she went through in her career, specifically due to her race. However, I also liked Davina as well. I heard BBUK fans didn't really like Davina though, right? Davina makes BBUS2-6 Julie look like she's hosting a funeral.

It's not really the fact of just missing out on the first evictee, but also missing the entire first week that they are in the house, it means that when the live feeds and shows begin, we're a week behind for no reason, we don't see how anything begins, relationships are already formed etc. I don't know, it just always seemed so pointless to me

Canada is back and so am i. haha.. love the grand/casino theme and everything is consistent so far.. Loving the 2 in 1 players twist. and thank goodness, Kelsey was not evicted. Paige is boring as someone is watching a paint gets dried.

I also love the fact that every week, there's a bet wherein they could really affect the game,, making it more unpredictable than ever. LOL. . Love it..

Never remembered because we saw so little of them.  Paige will probably get more airtime from continuing to appear in the titles than she did on the show itself - all we saw was her get nominated and not get Vetoed, with little of the reasoning behind her nomination and eventual eviction.

It would be far better for BB Can to do a 5 episode first week rather than 2 with nominations (and the twist reveal) in ep 2, Veto comp in ep 3, Veto Ceremony in ep 4 and then the eviction in episdoe 5.   Also don't see why they go for 16 contestants when the show is only actually 9-10 weeks long - would rather see a couple less contestants than multiple double evictions later in the series.

P.S.  Live feeds have now confirmed Tim and Nikki will get a vote each this week.

Yeah, agreed, they need another week or stick to 14 housemates - which won't happen right now. Their instant eviction is just due to Western Easter. I feel that Canada doesn't want to spend money involved of people living in the house for the first week being two weeks which is what BBUS always does.

Loveita looks likely out after these nominations. WTF! I don't see Christine using that veto either. She did a really dumb move by telling Kelsey in a really open way that she was her target. DUMB!
:) Live happy every day!!! <3

My neck hurts just hearing that people will be sleeping on church pews. I also wonder if Nikki would even cope as a Have-Not.

Also, is Nikki's "being overwhelm act" just an act? Or real?

Nikki has been an act since 2006.  And agree that Have Not room looks seriously uncomfortable - suspect everyone will be sleeping on the floor.

As for Loveita v Sharry from what we've seen so far they'd be foolish not to evicty Sharry - think she is the far bigger threat moving forward and if the house is stupid enough to evict Loveita instead that'll probably be the making of Sharry's game rather than the demise of it.

Nikki is going to love that complaint box, she will probably use that everyday. Although I wish BBCAN didn't obsess over their house being "5-star hotel" themed house.

Anybody else think this has potential to be the best season thus far? It's even capable of surpassing BBUS16.

Prediction:
Spoiler for Hiden:
Dallas is the only person I can see going as opposed to Jared or Kelsey.

Did everybody bail on this season?  :-X :-X

Anyways, Loveita nominated:

Spoiler for Hiden:
Cassandra & Christine

My thoughts:
Spoiler for Hiden:
1. This seems like a complete carbon copy of last season, where three women get evicted, unless one of them won POV and a male is their replacement. Though next week, there is room for change, as the instant eviction should be next week.
2. I'm noticing that they're not making it as obvious who will be nominated, which is great.

Any word of whether or now Paige & Sharry are sequestered?

Pretty sure Paige's been tweeting for like a week now! But this season is a flop, production is doing the current common mistake : turn their backs to fans.

In what way are they turning their backs on fans? Too many twists?
