The show was announced on the first semester, with an All-Star season in September to compete with La Academia from TV Azteca. Then if it had good rating, there would be a new main season.

However, due to the FIFA World Cup it was decided to delay it to 2011.

IMO, I don't think Big Brother will return to Mexico, although it'll be great to see another Spanish country with BB. But we have to wait until next year

As the FIFA World Cup ended last month, I don't see how that could have affected a Big Brother starting in September.

I think it was because it was really expensive for Televisa doing both thing on the same year. They spent lot of money during the World Cup

I know, but this time it seems that it's for real. I hope and pray the show returns to Mexico. The thing that killed the show was that they never took a break in between seasons, starting from Big Brother 2.

The producer Pedro Torres said that they are going to use the house that they are using in "Protagonistas", which is located in Miami, FL and not in Mexico. So it's the first time that the house will not be in Mexico

Source: http://entretenimiento.starmedia.com/television/nueva-temporada-big-brother-en-febrero-2012.html

I guess they will have to work in the house, because it's a really small house for Big Brother :-\. You can see pictures from the current house here:

http://forum.worldofbigbrother.com/index.php?topic=1128.msg25851#msg25851

He also said that this season will start on February, but they haven't done the castings, so there is a rumor that it'll be a celebrity season :-\

the location seems to be big enough! But what the hell they are doing with the spot... just look like an tv studio and not like an house where people can live in... I even don't want to think about how high the temperature must be inside - poor contestants :-O

So I guess that means for sure Univision will probably be airing it. I know what I'll be watching to study for my Spanish course :).

The house area is really small, the huge area that you see there it's the studio, that it's where the contestants do their tasks and they also do the live shows there. I guess the BB producers will use the studio to create some extra rooms for the house, and it'll be a completely new house. That is why I said they are going to have a hard work on it.

I'm not sure if Univision will be airing it, because they can have some legal issues with CBS ???

If Univision is able to air BB Mexico it would shock me. I highly doubt CBS would let a competitor air anything relating to Big Brother. CBS is usually very protective about their brands. The only way I can see is if Univision is willing to negotiate a sub-licensing deal with CBS and pay them money just for the right to air BB Mexico.

These news are a bit old. The first one is from June 2011 and the second one from April 2011

I'm trying to look for some new updates, but I think there is nothing new about this season :-\, the last news are from November :-\

Pedro Torres, main producer of Big Brother in Mexico, said that on March 24 there will be a special show about the first season of Big Brother Mexico with the 12 contestants, Adela Micha (the host), Javier Poza (the co-host) and the music group "Kabah"

So I guess the rumors about the "All-Star" with the 12 housemates from the first season were about this special show and there won't be an "All-Star" season :-\

About a new season, he said that he really wants to do a new one, and the people from Televisa will say if they can do it or not

Diego didn't go because he 'fell asleep' on Monterrey, Miguel Angel because of some issues with the prision (I didn't understand it) and Eric because he is in Puerto Rico with his wife. They'll be interviewed anyway.

For those who can watch "El Canal de las Estrellas"; they are showing now a TV Show called "Mojoe", and they are talking about Big Brother

One of the host is Yolanda Andrada (from VIP2), and there also other former housemates (Gaby Platas, Adrián Uribe and Omar Chaparro from VIP2, Fabián Lavalle from VIP3.1 and Sabrina Sabrok VIP4)

I can't believe that there have been 8 years since Big Brother VIP 2, I LOVE that season, one of the best ever!

EDIT: Fabián said that he had a mobile phone in the house, and he talked with it in the bathroom  :o
