So I guess antos was right, Netta will be evicted on Sunday and there won't be intruders in the final

BBPlaza poll on "Who would you like to save?"

http://bbplaza.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5408

I guess the actual vote could be close. And we can't really rule out any outcome. I still do think though, that Netta won't make it to the final even though she would be saved tomorrow.

Suvi and Netta are together in the diary room. Big Brother ordered the other housemates into the extra room.

Apparently Suvi and Netta (who were the most frightened housemates during the horror movie they were shown earlier tonight) will get the scary night in the actual bedroom (and the rest of the house) while the others can take it easy, relax, and watch more movies and eat pizza in the extra room.

And the number of Finnish people who are not intelligent enough to vote for one of the nominees grows to a record 1.72%.

Presumably the housemates now think they are in the final week and that the the final is on Sunday.

The producers now need to do to the housemates all the things they would normally do to them during the final week to keep the housemates convinced. This would mean no nominations on Friday, so I presume everyone but Mikael will be automatically nominated on Friday.

Whoever the public evict should be announced as the 6th placed housemate on Sunday, and then leave the housemates totally confused when no further announcement of 5th, 4th place etc. To see how they cope with the realisation on Sunday evening that they thought they were all leaving that night but actually have another 7 days in the house could be priceless.

I hope the producers can do this right and not mess it up - it could be one of the best moments in Big Brother history.

The HMs were told today, that the season will last for 2 more weeks. Although I think at least some of the HMs still think BB is tricking them and it is the final week. Nevertheless, there will be open nominations this week. So even if some of them would still mistrust Big Brother (there has been so many secrets, that the HMs don't really know what to believe anymore), the nominations will surely convince them.

Janica is still doubtful even today. She really wants to believe the final will be on this Sunday and the talk about it being on 11th December is all just a scam. This is partially because she had promised to her kids she'll come home on 4th December at the latest and she feels she's letting them down if she won't. The others have pretty much accepted their fate.

Suvi won the "staying in the box" competition as Janica fell asleep and didn't wake up when BB played the sound of jingle bells (which is when they were supposed to wave little flags with their profile pictures on them to indicate they're still awake and alert inside their boxes.) The prize for winning the competition was a PlayStation 3, PlayStation Move, two games, and a €1000 gift card to Pulju.net, an online gadget/novelty store.

According to the official website the housemates will receive letters from their family and friends some time today.

Edit: Correction: There's now an article on the official website which says there has been a change in BB's plans and this will happen tomorrow.

Yesterday, the housemates received letters from their family and friends:

http://the-site.dk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=40958#p40958

Next up: open nominations in the afternoon... and likely the last such thing this season. (It will come as a surprise for the housemates. They're expecting they'd all be up for eviction this late into the season.)

Tonight, they're also going to get a pre-Christmas party and Frederik will perform for them. (Frankly, it would probably be better if he didn't... they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel here as far as guest artists go.)

Tanja, Ben and Sebastian are up for eviction this week. So it's either Ben or Tanja leaving on Sunday. Sebastian is only there to bring in more money. Also, this is the last eviction of the season. Only one of these 3 will be evicted. So, for the first time in the history of BB Finland we'll have more than 4 finalists.

Ben: Janica (2), Sebastian (1)
Mikael: Tanja (2), Suvi (1)
Sebastian: Tanja (2), Ben (1)
Janica: Ben (2), Tanja (1)
Suvi: Tanja (2), Ben (1)
Tanja: Sebastian (2), Suvi (1)

Tanja 7
Ben 4
Sebastian 3

Janica 2
Suvi 2
Mikael - immune

Tanja flipped again. Throwing her blackboard on the floor and yelling at the HMs who nominated her, that she wouldn't have wanted to stay in the house with such idiots anyway.

I guess she is. In a very different way, but still. Tanja hasn't been frequently like this for the whole season. Just for the last couple of weeks.  I think she's just mad. But entertaining in a way.

At the moment it seems, that Ben will be evicted on Sunday. The only person, who didn't give any nomination points to Tanja. For a while Tanja also refused to talk to any other HM than Ben.

Any news on what will happen next week? Didn't they promise at the start of the season that the final week would be full of surprises with things happening that had never been done before?

Independence Day (6th December) is on Tuesday so they'll probably get something related to that theme on that day.

The final vote will begin at the end of tonight's live eviction show. More details about the final week will be revealed during the show.

Beginning on Monday, the viewers can also vote on the most memorable events this season. The winner of each category (?) will be revealed in a special gala night which will apparently take place some day during the final week.

It's two hours to the live eviction show now. Sebastian should be safe so the battle will be between Tanja and Ben.

With the current voting format in Finland, no-one has been safe all season. Almost every eviction has been a lottery.

In percentage terms, this is the closest eviction vote in world Big Brother history. The previous closest was also in Finland when Marko was evicted with a 0.04% lead in BB5.

Martin in BB2 Denmark was evicted by 71 votes, but the percentages were not revealed. So for Sebastians to be the closest vote ever, there would need to have been less than 710,000 cast in total (which I assume would certainly have been the case).

And this week, it must have been the intelligent part of Finland that voted as only 0.19% of people voted for housemates not up for eviction (last week it was 1.72%).

That was quite shocking indeed. IMHO, Sebastian would have deserved to be in the final. Whatever you think about him - and even if you would not have wanted him to have any chance of winning - he's been undeniably the most central character this season, unlike anyone else. But the voting format is such that it wasn't a totally unexpected result. The practice of displaying intermediate results encourages voters to "optimize" their votes and vote only for the two last positions, especially near the end of voting time... which means the housemates who are supposed to be "safe" (in the third-to-last or fourth-to-last position) may easily be "forgotten" in the end... not getting any more votes, which means the persons in the two last positions may catch them up during the last commercal break.

Of course, the whole thing is designed to rake in as many televotes as possible, and not around the concept of fairness. If they truly wanted to have the best unbiased representation of people's opinions they'd never display any intermediate results at all but only the final result after the lines have closed...
