Rising Star 1 France
« on: April 07, 2014, 09:14:59 PM »

Just like lots of countries, this program was bought in France by M6 and will start at the end of the summer.

The host is not yet announced but Benjamin Castaldi (Host of Secret Story on TF1 and former host of Loft Story on M6) is in talk for this.

The jury hasn't been announced either but they revealed they plan on having at one to two international star.

They also revealed today, they teamed up with Facebook and Instagram as part of the process of the show and casting. People will be able to access the casting via posting video on instagram and thanks to facebook they will appear in the wall.

The whole vote process will take place on the "6play" app.

hi, i see that rising star could start in september.
benjamin castaldi will not the host of rising star because he stay on TF1 to be the host of secret story 8.
but a new make me happy, Louise Ekland could be the host of rising star because she come on M6 for a new show "Les Marchés les plus incroyables de France".
so maybe she can be the host of rising star.

Sorry babe, I consider a flop when it is almost not watch! It was the 7th most viewed, and only 'cause of the Globos de Ouro thing.

I hope M6 manages to pull it off cause it's an interesting format. However I don't think they will, it feels like X Factor 2.0 and Faustine Bollaert is cursed sooo...

It was launched yesterday in Germany on RTL in prime time and did 2.300.000 viewers... came only second afrer "MI3" on ProSieben.

Promi BB did 2.900.000 and it's in 2nd part of the night...

In the US it premiered well, like around 5.6 million, then it started to go all the way down to 3.2 million per episode until the end. Weekly ratings were pretty much bad, bud had an overall decent run, the finale was last week and attracted around 3.9 million viewers, that for ABC, sunday night and summer is not that bad at all.

As there are multiple timezones, the show aired simultaniously on three zones (East, Central and Mountain), while the Pacific coast and Alaska saw the show on delay but the results there were actually LIVE for those áreas. And if in that coast, the audience decided to let an artist go through, the results changed the dynamics, as that time zone served as the "buyback" sorta saying.

It was kinda complicated anyway.
:) Live happy every day!!! <3

This is indeed flopping here in germany and already caused some minor backlash because some contestants said live that they weren't able to chose their own songs while the judges critized that. MESS. It was no surprise that this is flopping - except for Isreal, has this been a success anywhere else? Seems like some people where too quick to jump on board to create a new franchise...
