Now this is interesting...Krista Siegfrids will co-host UMK with Roope Salminen, the national selection in Finland. In addition to participating in the Swedish national selection. Naturally she will not be hosting UMK on the week she'll perform in Sweden.

The contestants will be revealed on the 12th. Next week.

IRELAND announced on January 13 who will fly their flag in Sweden and the one is: Nicky Byrne of Westlife fame with the song "Sunlight". Also, for the first time ever in Irish ESC history, both song & artist are chosen 100% internally by broadcaster RTE.

BELGIUM will be represented by Laura Tesoro with "What's The Pressure?", she won this year's Eurosong (the Belgian preselection show for this year's ESC) that incredibly became TT on Twitter in Spain.

In other ESC news:

- MALTA will have their Malta Eurovision Song Contest on January 22-23 (Friday & Saturday)
- SPAIN will reveal snipetts of the 2016 NF this week, with the songs being released in full by the end of this coming week. Also, Spain's NF will feature an international jury, and reportedly a cheaper rate for televoters in Spain.
- The BBC will reveal in the upcoming days the songs that will compete on Eurovision: You Decide, the British NF to be held on February 26, LIVE from The O2 Forum.
:) Live happy every day!!! <3

All the spanish songs are either weak or crappy. They'll be lucky if they get more than 3 points.

What?? Hahahahaha

Las Ketchup, El sueño de Morfeo, Son de Sol, D'NASH, Lucía Pérez, Chikilicuatre are waaaaaay better than Barei, yes of course...

She was my favourite but I wouldn't have minded to see Xuso or María Isabel in Stockholm. I think her song is something different and for once I want a 100% English song.

I'm with Alex, Barei had the best song, but I really wanted to see MARIA ISABEL! She was so robbed. The gala was okay, but still having major sound issues. And Loreen was so epic, like E P I C, Euphoria is such a magnetic song, love it. Still, Spain is taking a huge risk with a song that's actually worth the risk. So for me, SPAIN SHOULD WIN!!!

Neither do I but of course that's not the final performance that she will take to Sweden. She and her record label (when she gets one) will work on the performance.

the fact that people have to justify their liking of the song is kinda telling of the quality of it tho...

i like it tbh. I don't know if that's a winner song, i think it might lack a bit of power they should do a remix maybe, but i think it's def better than any song we've had in like 15 years kkkk

Woow I really like it, for me it's a great song for Eurovision and I don't think it lacks any power but any change for better is welcome. Hope to see it in Stockholm as I love french music ;)

I want Portugal to be a troll and not participate in an edition of Sweden again kkkk.
Plus, even if the song is good, we'll never qualify. Block vote sucks.
Yeah well...even with the block votes Finland never seems to qualify. A few exceptions. I mean we have all of Scandinavia, Russia and Estonia voting for us. That's the theory. Although...maybe we have just sent bad songs, so no one bothers to vote.

Yeah...sorry. I don't buy the block voting theory.

Damn, Danemark really can't vote for shit. Out of the 3 finalist, they legit elected the worst song. Simone should have won,  her song was by far the best (her live vocals are another thing lol).

It sucks Stadio opted out cuz i had already planned my toilet pause during his song :(

and wtf at austria's song being in french lmao

also, the Melodifestivalen is much better this year than the last one. I don't really like the Isa song but all the other girls really brought it (Ace, Lisa and Molly especially).
