Post by: Jackie on October 15, 2013, 08:41:05 PM
I created this thread so that we have a place to discuss what we listen to at the moment, our favorite musician, albums coming out soon....

The only time I listened to Aura was on that trailer thing, I was sooo annoyed by the constant talking I never want to listen again to that video. But I loved the chorus when she sings "Do you wanna see UNderneath the cover"!

GUY is giving me "Summerboy" on The Fame vibes, I love it. I love fun Gaga.

I'm listening to all sorts all the time, right now my flavour of the month is Diane Charlemagne, her voice is just so incredible <3

Urban Cookie Collective - The Key, The Secret (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_j-Tji1DueU#)

Goldie - Inner City Life (HD) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lx9-fjlh7Y4#ws)

And she is really incredible in this:

Moby - In This World (Live at Glastonbury June 29, 2003) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U5urMy3oNk#)

I think she should really have had a bigger career than she did, I think she's better than Adele <3

Post by: Jackie on October 16, 2013, 09:59:36 PM
ATTENTION!

My dear friends,

By this post, I declare officially war to Eminem. Indeed, I believe he is possessed by the Devil and is on earth to deliver hateful songs to feed the souls of the ignorant.

Here I stand with the last proof of my statement :

Listen to every word. Understand them. Recognize the homophobia, misogyny and narcissism.

Now know this song is currently the #1 most downloaded song in the USA and the #5 most downloaded WORLDWIDE.

PUNISH IT.

Is Eminem liked in Europe? He's like here; Americans teens say it's irony that the "best rapper is White".

I've always thought of Eminem as trash music, as well as all rap/country/metal music.

My new favourite band is Emblem3. Bieber has been replaced.

It may be heavily due to the fact that Emblem3 is fresh & new, and Bieber hasn't released a single in a while, and I'm sure his future work will structly just be mainstream hip hop.

I think that Bieber will always be the musician that I was most emotionally attached to. I don't think any other musician will top that.

So I guess I'm the only one, who is keeping this thread alive...next up is Anna Puu. Who came second in Idols in 2008. She's done well since then.

Anna Puu - Säännöt rakkaudelle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy9sAoPekvE#ws)

Of course it's originally Anna Puustjärvi. And translated the title of this song is "Rules for love".

Daniel was pretty big in the UK for about a year, "Gotta Get Thru This" was really catchy :)

I love Natasha, she's such a great vocalist, she doesn't have to dress provocatively for approval either because she's that good. "These Words" and "Unwritten" are my personal favourites songs.

BTW Am I the only person who doesn't get all this vile hatred being directed at Miley Cyrus? Because to me she has just been behaving like a lot of other women at her age, trying to have fun. It really f**ks me off when people talk about how horrible her performance with Robin Thicke was, yet no one bats an eyelid at the fact that Thicke is 36, married and his song has also been banned on some radio stations and universities, so I don't know why he's trying to act holier than thou.

I can't blame her as she has been repressed for years in a character that she wasn't as Hannah Montana even in the real life.

Her actual songs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the old ones

there's still banning on songs? really? lol

I actually like Wrecking Ball, I like her look, and I think she's moe interesting now than she ever has been. She's only 20, she's young, I don't know why people are being so vindictive towards her. It's not like she is hurting anyone.

It is quite excessive to ban songs, although if the people want it banned then it must be banned unfortunately. It is rather disturbing to listen to though knowing about the undertones of rape.

Not necessarily. Depends on who you are. As long as you have the vocal skill to back it up.

Miley's recent changes have been the smartest decision she could make, she's more acknowledged and discussed now than ever before, who really cares if the odd uptight pr*ck thinks she's a disgrace.

What I meant was that your comment insinuated that you lose dignity when you act sexy or get naked. Maybe you don't stand by that, but there's obviously a mecanism in your mind that make you think that.

It's like for most people being a prostitue means having no dignity.

Well you're picking me up the wrong way, my stance is that some singers use their assets to get along because they just weren't gifted enough to make it without doing so. You don't necessarily lose any dignity by wearing less. Christina Aguilera is an awesome singer whether she wears a two piece bikini or a burlap sack.

Iggy Azalea is the first name that comes to mind about having no talent and just a pretty body, honestly most girls could do what she does. Not to mention 1D who weren't good enough to even make it as solo artists on the X FACTOR...

I like that the original Sugababes have gotten together, although I feel sorry for the new Sugababes, they get a lot of stick, but I always thought Heidi was more of a Sugababe than Siobhon, she was in the group for a lot longer. I don't care about Amelle but Jade is WAY too talented to be with them, she's just out of place in that group, she would be well suited to possibly theatre performances or something in another guise :)

I think otherwise. 90s rap with Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Easy-E, etc was pretty bomb. I still listen to it myself.

Now the current "rap" (lil wayne, nicki minaj, drake, etc.) is an absolute abomination and garbage.

I always liked Eminem but didn't care enough to hear his new album.

Robyn is probably the most well known scandipop artist. She sings on big pop melodies exept she doesn't sing about going to the club, there's always a part of melancholia in her songs. I went to her live show, she does the same dance lol

Robyn - Call Your Girlfriend (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6ImxY6hnfA#ws)

One random question, is Christian Music known in any of you guys' countries?

In 2009, Christian Rock was literally all I was ever into. That and Reality TV.

There are various different types of Christian music. They basically take other genres of music and make their own. There's Christian Pop, Rock, Rap, Country, Metal, Techno, and even Christian Dubstep. Christian Rock was mainly my genre. That and Christian Pop.

Hawk Nelson was my favourite band up until I introduced myself to Bieber. I still like Christian music, but not nearly as much as I liked it in 2009. My church denomination doesn't have Christian music like the ones Protestants do. I still like it, and find it at least better than most pop and hip-hop. I surely can't say the same for Reality TV. I hate every reality show except for Amazing Race/Survivor and I've been very disappointed in those shows and have placed them as "guilty pleasure". I'm probably going to give up TAR again soon.

This was my Favourite Christian Rock song.

Not sure of anything else but most Europeans not being Protestant.

In Finland there has been one (maybe more...can't remember) Christian artist, who made it high in the charts here.

70% of Spain is Catholic.

The ones I've found:

-Guardian
-Alex Campos
-Strike 3
-Sacrificio
-Centinela 33
-Generación 12

I never heard about them until today lol

I'm planning to download all the discs of Danish/British/Spanish Christina Rosenvinge, I love how he morphed from pop-rock to indie. I've started with La joven Dolores as I've read that the Rolling Stone magazine has classified as masterpiece. My favourites songs from her two eras:

in the 90s:
Christina Rosenvinge - voy en un coche (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vkzHLNd5SA#)

now:
Christina Rosenvinge - Canción del eco (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT7csk7YTFI#)

Lauri-Kwan-Killer - chillin' at the grotto (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw_GSpTTKfU#)

And all of the above in their own bands:

Kwan - Tainted Love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT5O79QXjzs#ws)
Kwan

Killer - Naughty Boy HQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFrrHB2mdzU#)
Killer (only Siiri out of Killer was in that mash up of the Finnish elite of the time)

The Rasmus - "Liquid" [Full Video] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRPEydf4M44#)

minority associations as always playing the victim role, I suppose she would also be racist if she didn't had any black dancers in her video:

her November 2013 video for "Hard Out Here" was accused of being racist for its use of mostly black dancers in an allegedly "disapproving" manner. Allen responded that ethnicity was not a factor in hiring the dancers, and the video was a lighthearted satirical look at objectification of women in modern pop music

Since you know, black female bodies and twerking (a form of black female expression with their bodies) are all so funny and a joke, WHY NOT END BY SMACKING ONE OF THEM ON THE ASS TO REASSERT YOUR DOMINANCE AND PRIVILEGE OVER THEM AS A WHITE WOMAN?

Oh wait, she did that too:

What I can say, though, is that the video is sickening. It is meant to be a critique of popular culture and consumerism but employs and denigrates black female bodies to do so and elevate her status as a white woman. The lyrics of the song are also so indicative of this:

"I don’t need to shake my ass for you because I got a brain"

So women (and I’m guessing you really mean black women, right, Lily?) who shake their asses are all stupid and have no value, huh?

i've seen worse tbh.. Yet it's really poorly directed and doesn't make any sense at all. Either you do a glamour shoots vid, either you imput a story line, but you can't put 2 scenes of storyline in between a million glamour shots.

Then again, Samantha Jade's "What You've Done To Me" was terrible too, so I don't think it's a racial thing, just the whole team is amateur.

BUT HONESTLY, how hard is it to do a basic "stranger close up" inspirational vid ?!

the funny part is that Xtina and Gaga have had a major feud going on since the very start of Gaga's career. Xtina kept on copying Gaga + dissing her, and Gaga kept on making the copying public.

Basically it's a party song. And saying, that your head might hurt the following morning from all that drinking...but let's worry about the hangover tomorrow.

The chorus goes something like this:

Mamas bonitas
tonight, yeah
don't care where you're at
babe we're having a party
mi chicas, buenas
tonight, yeah
we've got sangria
and a carneval
we've got tequila and facepaints
o-o-ooooo
and I know know know
where I'm at
where the ladies like to get the attention
and I know know know
where I come from

A rough translation of the chorus.

I'll find you across the seas, turn the rocks if I must
Listen, I've understood something

Love doesn't drain of use, it gets stronger
And the flame doesn't burn under a bushel, it suffocates
And the world doesn't come any better if you don't make it better
So let's give it another shot?

Give me just a moment
A moment to think things over
Put words in the right places
To say what I need to say
Nothing too much, nothing meaningless
Give me a moment
Hear me, hear me

I didn't try hard enough
Drove you off my side
The longing doesn't get any less, though I know I don't deserve you
Still, I've understood something

Basically...that's it.

I'm in the mood of promoting Finnish music tonight. For some strange reason. This time I come with translations though.  ;D

This is the tale of a lonely fairy. And Chisu is one of the best songwriter-singers in this country.

Chisu - Yksinäisen keijun tarina (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVppceNO7uE#)

She rubbed fairydust on her wings in the mornings
so she could also fly in head wind
She'd had hard times past her
but who would believe that
sad fairies exist?

With her head pushed down, she mentioned once
about her worries
A faun sneered, didn't take her seriously
How could a winged one be so down?
Only took seriously when that little fairy
passed away

We have a paradise right here
but always everyone doesn't experience it like this
cause even the faun, the troll, and the fairy
they're caught by sorrow sometimes
and are taken away

The story of a lonely fairy touched everyone
Trolls comforted fairies, elfs the fauns
everywhere they repeated with sighs:
why it took one life
until we remembered:

We'd have a paradise right here
if we'd always live close by
and even if the faun, troll, or fairy
is caught by sorrow
it won't take them away

We'd have a paradise right here
if we'd always live close by
and even if the faun, troll, or fairy
is caught by sorrow
it won't take them away

The last one was kind of depressing...and it is. Beautiful song though.

And another one...a bit different genre...but still.

I just feel like listening to and linking Nordic acts.

I'll start with Swedish.
Army Of Lovers - Crucified (Official Video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdooYar_A6g#noexternalembed)

Some Danish:
Safri Duo - Played A Live (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35KLBpSpIfg#)

Norwegian:
Madcon - Glow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWUtEW-iYhI#ws)

Some Icelandic:
Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4L_DQKCDgeM#)

And Finnish:
Club For Five - Sweet Dreams (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW4IIsMHYTo#ws)

Oddly I chose to link a cover from a Finnish acapella group. They're actually quite good. And not really well known even in Finland.

Haloo Helsinki - Huuda LIVE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyx_y374WFk#ws)

Translation. Not my own. And close enough:

I wake up at five in the morning and take a cup of green tea from the stove
Arrange vinyls to new piles
I dance to the songs of which i get kicks
And hang new sings to the jacket's sleeves

I want to change
Share the world
And sing when the free world parties

Scream, scream from joy
Scream, scream from freedom and
Scream, scream from happiness
And you can continue lying
Or you can know the truth

I enjoy the feeling when I say good morning
And see some joy in the bypassers look
I dance alone on the street
And keep the door open
And after every moment enjoy more of life
I want to change
Share the world
And sing when the free world parties

Scream, scream from joy
Scream, scream from freedom and
Scream, scream from happiness
And you can walk away smiling
Scream, scream from joy
Scream, scream from freedom and
Scream, scream from happiness
And you can continue lying
Or you can know the truth
Scream from the front or form the box and from the body(?)
Scream from peace, from grandma and grandpa
Scream from joy of life and invest in it
Scream for love's shadows and desire

Scream, scream from joy
Scream, scream from freedom and
Scream, scream from happiness
And you can walk away smiling
Scream, scream from joy
Scream, scream from freedom and
Scream, scream from happiness
And you can walk away smiling

Scream, scream from joy
Scream, scream from freedom and
Scream, scream from happiness
And you can continue lying
Or you can know the truth

More Finnish.

Mariska Murha Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYjZX5AH-ZU#ws)

Murder

A little warning to the ladies
If you appreciate your life
Stay alert
A murderer is on the loose!

(refrain:)
It was a murder, maybe completely unnecessary
and a crime which made me go insane
a thief, the best of them all
oh no, oh no

Only an accident, or did you do it on purpose?
Did you plan it, did you
take the peace I had, without knowing it?
I couldn't foresee that you would take my life
You took a piece with you that only belonged to me
Tell me what I should do now, I hope that
you will find a good use to the things you stole
I can't press charges, I don't have any proof
Did someone notice, could someone witness?
That part of my soul now hangs on your wall
Do you keep it by yourself, or will you give it back
And ruthlessly you asnwer by saying "dear" to me
At least I didn't mean to
change this post-coitus into something cold-blooded.*
I beg, I pray because I can't force you
Give back to me what you took

(refrain)

Did you plan it or don't you just know
that you can't take things without asking first?
You robbed me, and still it felt good
You stabbed my chest, digged too deep
Give me a rest, I can't take this anymore
it's not a big thing for you to do
if you bring the missing piece, make me whole
instead of draining me dry like a vampire
I'm covered with wounds but I don't bleed
I promise to myself: this was the last time
when I open my door and let close to me
from now on I save everything to myself
This was murder of first degree, so cruel
If I were you, I would be afraid when at the heaven's gates
The scales weight your heart, it's too heavy
You should have thought twice before taking it from me
Now I'm dead

(refrain)

To the ladies
who want to stay alive
The murderer is on the loose
and he can strike at the morning or the evening
Stay alert
when you are on your homestreets
Or dancing at the clubs
Remember to pay attention
Has any of you seen a beast?
I could bet
that even today he is moving along you
choosing a victim, taking her on his arms
He can sneak behind your back
Sweetly scratch your chest
He looks handsome and he kisses
drugs the girls and then stabs them

(refrain)

One more for tonight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0JPHKbdoWI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0JPHKbdoWI)

I do what I have to do
I go because I have to go

No, nothing's enough for me, no
Nothing feels good now, no
No, let me go, let me go

I've cruised at full speed on the left lane
we tried to switch it for the right one for a change
Brake for a current of the normal life
put on the cruise control, tried to recoup for a while
But what the fuck I'm trying
I'm hooked to speed
it is my faith to ruin this
Petrol in my veins
the highway calls for my name
and these bitches would like to
have a kid with my name
Like my dad I chose
these traveller's shoes
Oh, this burden
There's many ways to use this time
It feels like I'm without a pulse
stoned by life
Still today I play
the slowest ones
feels like I'm the one
I can't pick up from the ground
After you everything
means nothing again
and these sex bombs
I use as my bandaids

For once I found just what
I was looking for
I used all the ways
to make it live for long
The adventures were greater
the summers were hotter
dreaming other dreams
without all this music
And even though we drive fast
the speed doesn't feels so bad
when it's something like you that I have
But I crashed our relationship in a moment
the last picture together was taken in Midsummer
You can ponder but you can't have the yesterday
these wounds won't be fixed with a piece of tape
Since teenager I have known what I do
but in front of the mirror, who is the one looking at you
This sir doesn't give a shit
teasing again some random chick
I let these model girls do what they want
there's a place in my bed but not in my heart

I'm not feelingless, I have feelings, yes
but after you everything is meaningless
I do what I have to do
I go because I have to go
Everything is said, tears are stemmed
sparkle of the eyes is gone once again
I do what I have to do
I go because I have to go

Let me go
Let me go

I don't really believe her wikipedia page tho... She said she doesn't want to reveal her age or any personnal thing cause she doesn't want her music to be about her but all about the music. Once she also said "every good music has a part of mistery" <3

I don't think she's 34 but probably in her 20's. Anyway i really like her whole character

Britney Jean is not a flop #fact

it seems strange to me that in our pop culture we feel the need to call millions selling albums "flop" instead of enjoying people's success.

Tho the fact she didn't actually give the vocals for most of the album is quite irritating

Just when I lose my faith in Azealia she reminds me why I love her!

Chasing Time (Official Audio) - Azealia Banks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqAEC4Ydgbo#ws)

I wish she was as big as Iggy and Nicki are, I just think her songs are less generic and have more of a unique and new edgy sound, whereas the formers are more or less just female equivalents of generic male rappers like Lil Wayne and Drake. That's just my opinion though.

You don't need to pit woman against each other to prove another one's greatness. Iggy is in her own lane and Nicki IS the queen of rap. Azealia could never be on their level simply because she is a timebomb, look at her twitter it's messier than Justin Bieber's life. I still think she is talented, very talented but I hope for her sake she's never as exposed as Nicki is

I'm not pitting anybody against each other, It's my opinion that Nicki and Iggy are bland, bland, bland. To each his/her own but they do nothing for me.

You may be on to something about her ego, it would erupt if she got that exposed, that is one downside about her, she's got a bad attitude for sure.

it's not just her ego honey it's her general messiness, bitch manages to be all the bad things at the same time (homophob, transphobe ect).

Just based on her mixtapes i use to support her a lot, but there's a point where you just realised she shouldn't be supported because she is ignorant as hell.

And I'd agree that Iggy is bland but most of her music isn't, listen to "Work" i mean come on. And regarding to Nicki, i'm a real stan, I loooooove her and if you need proof of how good she is listen to "Monster", "Lookin' Ass", of even her verse on the "***Flawless (remix)" she's pure fire! I've heard Work actually. I liked it for a while, some of the lyrics are pretty catchy. But it's not anything special. I still think she's mainly style and little substance.  Does she welcome those comparisons as the "female Eminem" btw? she's not even in his stratosphere :-\ . Black Widow isn't bad (ignoring that Rita Ora is involved)

Fancy just does my box in :-X

Regardless of who Azealia is doesn't mean I don't enjoy her music. I know she made an inappropriate comment towards Perez Hilton (who by the way is one of the most vile, disgusting SOB's in Showbiz) which is not on, regardless of whether it was flippant or not, she still meant to use the word in a homophobic, derogatory context. I don't remember what she's said about transgendered people though.

I don't think Iggy actually wants to be anything like Eminem, she said many times she is more inspired by flawless rappers like Lil Kim and Tupac than this piece of shit of Eminem.

Like I said, check her twitter, she is really horrible. Or go on ontd and check her tag, it's tragic. I'm not gonna give any of my money to her until she check her ideas and and get an education

and now her producer Dr. Luke (if you don't know his name you sure as hell know his music as he also produces Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Luke_production_discography (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Luke_production_discography) ) claims that she's trying to extort him AND that she's just lying cause she's crazy

Katy Perry - Unconditionally (Live Performance MTV EMA AMSTERDAM 2013) (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17en28)

and bonus, a bad AND racist performance from miss kate hudson :

Katy Perry | Unconditionally (AMA's 2013) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXqcjgX-I9E#ws)

could go on forever but lets face it, i just posted the first i found. Alos, for the record, I don't hate her at all. She seems like a decently nice girl, she has nice taste and in the end she gets the last laugh with all this money she makes. I just dislike her as an "artist" cause she has nothing to offer but got enough money to force herself into success.

I never used to rate her that much, it's only been maybe the last year she's popped on my radar. I used to think she was just a dull chick who wrote about nothing but bad love experiences (which she does) but she's actually oozing charisma. I like her. Her songs are annoyingly catchy, sort of like head lice :)

No Doubt. Don't speak. One of my favourite bands. And one of their best songs.

And It's my life too, that was always a real favourite of mine. I think Gwen Stefani's just swell. I have a homo-envious crush on her :-*

Mine too. She just gets better. The first song of hers I liked was "Trouble", but it was very annoying at the same time. Blank Space is by far my favourite. Shake It Off is good too but it gets played all the time :P

I love Taylor because :

-1989 is pop gold
-her new "feminist with all my girlfriends" image is so good
-all the rumours of her actually being the Regina Georges of pop

Honestly I see people hating Taytay because a some guy said he taught her to play guitar at her beginings and she pretends to be self taught, he said she had it all planned already, that she was gonna be the sweet little girl and slowly dominate the industry.

Like ok but where is the part i'm supposed to hate ? all i see are good things

I used to like her on her early days, when her music was more country than pop.

"Tim McGraw" is an amazing song, my favourite song of her by far. "White Horse" and "Tied Together with a Smile" are also great songs, and there are many good songs on her two first albums.

But I don't like her music in the latest years TBH  :-\

My response: Oh well.

Leona Lewis apparently had singing lessons before she won X Factor. Did that bother anyone before she won with a pretty hefty majority. Or after she won X Factor, did most people care that she was bred from the X Factor? a lot of people didn't.

Same applies to Swiftie. If she's planned everything out then more credit to her. If I had the talent I would too.

However, Unwritten was one of the best songs of all time!!

By accident i found song which i remember from little child but i have never watched the video. It is song from 1989 (i think) from the bulgarian band "Atlas". And it's kinda unusual song in which the main character is in love with...a doll. In the chorus he sings "I ask if there are powers in this world which could brings you to life". Now i realize why most of the bulgarian men likes girls with silicone...just when they were little boys they thought that the plastic girls are perfect to love...
Probably because of this song... ::)
Atlas - Doll
http://youtu.be/xIQ8Og2NnEE
By the way i couldn't notice one strange fact earlier...The wife of one of the group - Doni, is called Neti. She is like a twin of the doll from the clip...Creepy...
She is younger than him and she made the marriage proposal to him because he "wouldn't do it alone, he expects the women to do everything in his life" as she says! ???

They also have song together called "This movie". The video is made in Tibet.

Chisu - Kohtalon oma (Official video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qH7qzBvHFic#ws)

I grab your wrists and tie them to arms of a chair
This is my only way to escape
I can see how you're already worried there in your chair
I wouldn't want this, this is my last trick
I cut your thumb so you can't hitchhike after me
Then it's your forefinger's turn so you don't poke me anymore

Hey destiny, I'm a big girl now
And I decide whose I am and whose not

I remember when you greeted me even though I didn't even know you
And you took me as your prisoner and you had your way
But listen destiny, I have my own will
And now it ensures that you won't take it anymore

And I break your middle finger so you won't disgrace me anymore
And I'd pity the ring finger but it won't do anything clever anyways

Hey destiny, I'm a big girl now
And I decide whose I am and whose not
Hey destiny, I have my own will

But I won't take your little finger cause secretly in my mind
I hope that you become more kind and maybe I'll return
And surrender, intertwine to it
If I decide to be your woman

Hey destiny, I'm a big girl now
And I decide whose I am and whose not

I know I'm about 4 months late but this song is amazing as is Sia.

I'm interested to know what you guys interpret from it? I have to say it was quite moving to me, I interpret it as Sia's past battles with mental illness, which really goes deep for me as sometimes I feel like Maddie (the aggressor) and Shia (playing the timid and reserved one) whereas my best friend sees it as a turbulent relationship between father and daughter, where she is no longer a little girl but he still wants her to be his little girl.

I'm disgusted that anyone could take such a creative song and shit on it because the video according to them is "sexualizing" a child when only they and their sick minds see it as such. How dare they. They're the ones who are sexualizing a talented young girl's dancing.

I think everybody has that artist with a powerful voice who can just hit the nerves, and Sia's voice is one of strong emotion to me, so like even before I understood all the lyrics her voice just sort of pierced me. Does that make any sense?

Ultimately it's up to anyone's interpretation, whether Die Antwoord are racist or not. I just see them as having a very strange sense of humor. But...that's about that. We could argue until the end of time about it.

What The Fuck Again

I don't wanna chain you
or use tape
but I sometimes get home
even before morning paper

You say you are tired
because of the overtime
Was it a pizza driver who called
thanked for the last night

I don't know that scent
you are on your phone again
Why do you hide behind your scarf
and I'm thinking

Chorus:
What the fuck again
I'm running out of humor
I'm glad you have friends
but friends don't give hickies

What the fuck again
your legos are about to drop
Heard some stories
about your drunk kisses

What the fuck again
I'm running out of humor
I don't wanna stalk you
or use finder
but in your bathroom closet
there was some eyeliner

When you are looking for new friends
in your Tinder
I wait for a new surprise
like it was a Kinder

I don't know that scent
you fix your collars
Those ain't mosquito bites
and I'm thinking

chorus

What the fuck again
I'm running out of humor
I wanna give you one last chance
On Sunday morning I apologize
for over-reacting or for asking too much
your door is opened by my best friend

chorus

That is the translation.

So yeah, I am curious to know what you all think about solo artists vs groups. So, I picked a few battles from The Voice series from various countries. I would like to know which act in your opinion won each performance.  :)

1. Joseph Apostol vs. Diva (Joanne Shelley & Maxine Jack) from The Voice UK 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ6gLTfkb-U

2. Chance Peña vs. Andi Peot & Alex Peot from The Voice USA 9

3. Dana Likvornick vs. Dar Dveksler & Orin Jacobson from The Voice Israel 3

4. Neti "Pun" Chedi vs. Wasin "Tom" Wongpatham & Bandit "Did" Phraibueng from The Voice Thailand 4

5. Gabriella Massa vs. O'G3NE (Amy Vol, Lisa Vol, & Shelley Vol) from The Voice of Holland 5
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR_HV_M4tFk

6. Janita Gabriella vs. Mervo from The Voice Indonesia 2

For me personally...

1. Joseph Apostol. Diva sang beautifully, but they did struggle with the notes at certain parts. Joseph stood out for me with his near perfect, strong vocals.

2. Andi Peot & Alex Peot. This was very close, but Andi and Alex harmonizing was spot on and Chance did sound a little off on the decrescendos.

3. Dar Dveksler & Orin Jacobson. This was PAINFULLY close! Dana was really good, but I think Dar and Orin sang a little bit better.

4. Tom & Did. Pun had difficulty singing the higher range vocals. That and Tom and Did's harmonizing was spot on.

5. O'G3NE. THIS WAS THE HARDEST DECISION FOR ME! Both were sooo goooood! But O'G3NE's harmonizing just stood out and was the best I have heard from any group I have heard internationally.

6. Mervo. For me, Janita did well at the beginning but she lost me with her high pitched singing towards the end. Mervo's performance was well balanced and they did well with the harmonizing.
