I hope this season will be a "normal" one. A standard one. Thank you for the information about the month when BB Africa will be launch.

It was announced that this year the housemates will compete in pairs, so they will have to go to the castings with a partner.

Also it was announced that there will be two new countries this year: Liberia and Sierra Leone ;D. There won't be a contestant from Ethiopia and Mozambique this year. According to the official website: "Mozambique will take on a new role that will be announced at a later stage". So there will be 14 countries represented this year, the 12 originals plus Liberia and Sierra Leone

And the prize this year is USD 300.000

It seems that the original logo will return this year

I'm happy to say that I'm entering the show this year. The process will initially be by application and then you get shortlisted and called back for further interviews.
The house won't be moving location. It's still at Sasani Studios but expect a major makeover. Also, the logo used in call for entries ad is just the standard Big Brother logo they always use in between seasons. I can be 100% sure that a brand new logo will be designed for this season.

I can't wait! Hope I get on the show!

:)

No I wont be competing. If shortlisted as a possible housemate, I'll just through a standard process of them doing background checks and doing medicals and stuff like that. They do it every year.

Honestly, with the logo.. i find it nice.. but regarding the subtitle, it's a bit confusing.. it looks like its an all star season or a celebrity.. Though i know that they did the casting already.  :-\ :-\

Kinda agree that they should use the double up sub instead of this..  ??? ??? or something like.. "Big Brother Africa: Tag Team" :)

TBH double up was a bad subtitle as well...very random and wannabe stylish as everything on pinoy BB is but yeah, BB Africa is giving it a run for the money :D
I hate BBs that cannot even establish a regular format and rather overdo it with stretching the format too much (and it looks like Africa is doing excactly this once again)

I agree. too many twists means the housemates are not entertaining as they are.

First picture of the house

There are a lot of rumors about this season. The last one is that there will be 3 housemates from each country :o :o, the partners and a celebrity from each country. TBH, I don't think it's true, it's imposible to have 42 housemates at the same time ::)

There are also many potential housemates on the net, let see if they are true or not

EDIT: The official website was updated, and there are 36 pictures, so I guess 8 countries will have 3 contestants this year. Also it seems that for the fourth time we are going to have 2 houses: UPVILLE and DOWNVILLE

And if you want to know about the housemates from last year, you can read about them here: http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/News/10811/LifeAfterTheAmplifiedHouse.html
