The channel that airs the show, M-Net, has confirmed the show will last 91 days and that there will be only one winner this year.

It seems that the 7 celebrities are going to live in the "Upville" house, which is a luxury house and the the others in the "Downville" house, which is just a regular house

Barbz was a contestant in the second season of "Stricly Come Dancing" in South Africa, and she was the first one to be evicted :D

So I guess the celebrities will be playing a completely different game to the pairs in the other house then because it would be unfair I think if a pair were eventually nominated against a single player. Not sure how this is going to work, butI'm excited to see nevertheless.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the rules. Only one housemate is going to win, so I am not sure if they are going to compete as a pair :-\

BTW, the "Upville" house is the Heads house from last year, and the "Donwville" house is the Tails house from last year.

The first pair: Esperança and Seydou from Angola. They are friends (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180551)

The next one is: Eve and Edith from Botswana. They are sisters (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180561)

The third pair: Mildred and Keitta from Ghana. They are dating. Mildred is a bit popular in her country too, so two celebrities from Ghana this year ::) (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180571)

The fourth pair: Alex and Malonza from Kenya. They are brothers (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180581)

The next pair: Yadel and Luke from Liberia. They are friends. Yadel is dating and Luke is single. They are the first contestants from Liberia ever (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180591)

The sixth pair: Nafe and Wati from Malawi. They are cousins. (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180601)

The next one: Jessica and Junia from Namibia. They are friends, although it seems they are not really close, they just went together to the casting because they need a partner ::) (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180611)

The eighth pair: Chris and Ola from Nigeria. They are friends. As they are from Nigeria, maybe one of them will be the winner ::)

The ninth pair: Lee and Keagan from South Africa. They are friends (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180631)

The tenth pair: Zainab and Dalphin from Sierra Leone. They are friends, but just like as the Namibia girls, they don't seems to be close friends. They are also the first contestants from their country. Zainab is dating (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180641)

The next pair: Julio and Hilda from Tanzania. They are friends, they know each other since they were little kids. He is dating and she is single (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180651)

The twelfth pair: Jannette and Kyle from Uganda. They are friends, but it seems they are more than just friends ::), like IK said "friends with benefits" (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180661)

The thirteenth pair: Tamara and Talia from Zambia. They are sisters (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180671)

And the last pair: Maneta and Teclar from Zimbabwe. They are step-sisters (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Video/Play.aspx?vid=180681)

35 housemates in the first night, I think it's a new record ::)

This is also the second reality show from Esperaça Vemba from Angola. She was in "Face of Africa" a few years ago. It was a modelling reality, like "America's Next Top Model" (http://beta.mnetafrica.com/FaceofAfrica/Models/Profile.aspx?id=45)

And there won't be nominations in Downville :o. The nominations will be done by random, and one couple will be nominated. And the first nomination is going to be now and there will be 2 couples nominated this week

And the nominees are the housemates from TANZANIA, Julio and Hilda, and the housemates from ZIMBABWE, Maneta and Teclar. The public will vote to save their favourite housemate, so I guess only one will be evicted.

I was so excited with this season, but this is a really stupid twist >:(

All the profiles are in the official website (http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/)

It'll be really hard to know all of them. I mean, 35 housemates on the first night? ::)

If BB Africa history is anything to go by, the first eviction will probably be fake or to move to UpVille. ::)

Esperanza from Angola has just been in the Diary Room to inform Big Brother that she would like to leave the house for 'personal reasons'.
Big Brother told her to think about her decision for 24 hours.

I mean COME ON! A walker only 2 days in! Why did she bother entering the show?!  :mad

I guess she only wanted to be famous, but I don't think she will be famous after only 2 days in the house ::)

If she really wants to leave, I hope she will quit. Because the show doesn't need a boring housemate who wants to leave

Esperanca left the house according to the official Facebook's account. Her decision could affect her partner's stay in the house...  :-\

The latest news now are that she has decided to stay in the house ::)

It seems that Seydou talked with her about the decision, so Esperança decided to stay in the house because of him

The house would have lost a lot without Seydou, so I'm happy she decided to stay

The four nominees had to leave the house and go to the studio.

Now it was announced that Maneta will return to the house, but to the "Upville" house ::)

The first housemate to be evicted is TECLAR from Zimbabwe

And the second housemate to be evicted is JULIO from Tanzania.

I guess that Hilda will move to the "Upville" house. I was wrong, HILDA was also evicted tonight :o, so only Maneta survived this eviction

Now the housemates from Downville know about the Upville house ::)

The results:

Maneta = 8 votes (Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe & Rest of Africa)
Hilda = 6 votes (Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania & Uganda)
Julio = 1 vote (Angola)
Teclar = 0 votes

And we have new nominees: LUKE & YADEL from Liberia and DALPHIN & ZAINAB from Sierra Leone. One of the 2 new countries will be evicted next week

Chris and Ola have voluntarily exited the house. Ola wanted to leave the house as the medication he is taking was not working and Chris agreed, saying he believed that Ola's health was more important than the game.

The eviction between Luke, Yadel, Dalphin and Zainab will continue.
