« on: January 06, 2011, 07:22:45 PM »
Strong rumors a circulating that a second edition of Big Brother/Gran Hermano will return to Colombia.

Here are two links/articles about the possible return:
http://www.lafiscalia.com/2010/12/20/caracol-estaria-pensando-en-gran-hermano-para-2011/

http://elfrente.com.co/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10253:top-10-de-la-semana-tropicana-stereo&catid=44:entretenimiento&Itemid=78

No precise start date however it states the prize fund will be $300,000 and already names a possible host.

Great news  ;D

The reality mania returned to Colombia last year. Protagonistas de Novela returned to COlombia after several years, and it was one of the most watched TV Show in 2010. Also The Farm returned after 6 year, although the ratings are not as good as Protaginsitas' rating.

wow that would be unexpected! also it would be the 2nd version that does its own season after being part of a pan-regional one (Sweden with Norway and Colombia was part of Pacífico)

Colombia didn't take part in GH Pacifico. The house was in Colombia, but only housemates from Chile, Ecuador and Peru competed in that season

It could be another hoax but I found this on Wikipedia:

Quote
Canal Caracol in another of his attempts to regain ground lost to RCN is preparing a second edition of the reality show Big Brother in 2011. The contest could be conducted by Victor Mallarino and discussions would be responsible for the "acclaimed diva Amparo Grisales.
Big Brother 2011 will be much new in terms of participants, insulation, new rules, the nomination and removal system and public involvement. Who were the winners of this year will be a prize of 300 million pesos (as usual). GH-2011 features a large display of production which includes cameras and high-tech microphones in every room of the house to record every word, every gesture and every movement of the characters.
The format of Dutch origin was released to great acclaim in 70 countries. The first edition was held in Colombia in 2003. GH 2011 retains its original label, but now features surprises in the game that will make it a different viewing experience.

God 2010/11 has been the return of alot of BB's if this is true :)

http://www.eltiempo.com/entretenimiento/tv/ARTICULO-WEB-NEW_NOTA_INTERIOR-11950621.html

It seems that Gran Hermano Colombia will return in Citytv

Citytv Channel (Casa Editorial El Tiempo), in association with RTI and Endemol (the company selling creative and reality formats), make a new version of Big Brother in Colombia.

During 106 days at the home studio built for RTI versions of Big Brother Colombia and Ecuador, among others, participants will compete for a prize of 106 million pesos (one million pesos per day).

7 and 8 July will be held in Bogota calls (the site will be reported shortly and times) and then will come the 16 chosen.

To be on Big Brother does not need to have any talent, but adapted to confinement, to be held incommunicado (without television, radio, cellular, Internet and electronic media of today) and have tolerance with peers.

The media inform Casa Editorial El Tiempo the dates on which you can download the form www.citytv.com.co. Applicants must be between 18 and 40.

106 days is nearly the original run BB was supposed to last in the beginning (100 days). To me its the perfect time, not too short, not too long.

No, it's a small channel. Caracol and RCN are the 2 biggest stations in Colombia, and the most viewed channels by far.

But I hope CityTV will do a better job than Caracol with GH

Oh, ok, thank you :)
I fastly read the article... more than 30 cameras? I think it's not a lot.
And I like to have a !? vs. !? in nominations!

It's more inetresting, more intense, and that forces housemates to make strategies to don't be against someone else... :P

Lol, I thought 106 millions was a lot, but it's 47,089€. For 106 days, I think it's not fair, but it's because I'm used with other GH to see more in the prize.

Yes. Well, I've just realized it's 16 housemates, so, maybe it's good. Sometimes simple BB are very good and interesting. Can't wait to discover the casting :)

I think that the prize is small because in last season it was 250 millions of pesos, 144 millions more.

I think that could be more than 2 nominees, but they will nominate with 2 and 1, like in Argentina, Pacífico, Mexico and Ecuador (?)

I think it said that there will be 2 nominees because the 2 with the most votes or more will be nominated.

But with Gorban in the production team, I'm pretty sure they will vote with 2 and 1 points.

PS: In Pacifico they didn't vote with 2 and 1 points, and in Mexico the rules changed almost every week

Yes, in Pacifico only 2 names with 1 point
In Mexico, on first seasons they nominate (a lot of times) with 2 and 1.

In Mexico, on first seasons they nominate (a lot of times) with 2 and 1.
Only in the first main season they voted with 2 and 1 in all the rounds. In season 2 and VIP 2, they voted with 2 and 1 only in a few rounds, and in all the other seasons they voted in a different way each round (in VIP1 they voted with 3, 2 and 1)

But maybe the producers decide to change the nominations rules after a few weeks like in the first season. In the first season, during the first weeks (I'm not sure if it was only the first one), they voted like in almost all the countries, but then they changed the rules to make it more like "Protagonistas" ::)

Wow! I hope that if there's another season of GH Argentina he produces it also!  ;D

With him on the production they won't make any wierd, horrible change to the format.  ;)
